Following the passing of her biological father, she took on responsibilities for her family from a young age. Raised in a Christian home, Mercy developed an interest in gospel music early on and actively participated in her church choir.

Career

Mercy Chinwo’s journey in music began at the tender age of eight when she joined her local church choir. As she grew older, she became the choir director, leading worship sessions and developing her musical talent.

Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she won the Nigerian Idol talent competition. This victory catapulted her into the limelight, setting the stage for her career in gospel music.
