Nigerian talented singer Temilade Openiyi Tems has been arrested by the police in Uganda for performing alongside her manager.
The event Tems performed at last night was “The Big Brunch” Afrobeats Edition in Uganda.
A Ugandan police official shared the news of Tems arrest on Twitter.
Somehow, the real reason behind his arrest was because Ugandan musicians protested on social media that they couldn’t perform in their country while Nigerian artistes flew in and performed.
It seems that the government is yet to allow music concerts and big parties in Uganda due to COVID-19 guidelines.
Arrested alongside Tems was her manager and the Events manager.
More details surrounding his arrest and custody would be brought to your notice as soon as words get out.
