David Adedeji Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He is the youngest of five siblings and the second son of his father, Adedeji Adeleke, a billionaire business tycoon, and his late mother, Veronica Adeleke, a university lecturer. Although born in the United States, Davido was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, where he spent most of his formative years.
For his education, Davido attended British International School in Lagos before moving back to the United States at the age of 16.
